Discussion that the FDH currently does not accept children with allergy medication. Discussion was also had with regards to the assistant's need to complete then 10 hours of pre-service training within 90 days of signing the subsidy agreement.
A SHSI inspection was conducted for this FDH located in Centreville, Virginia. The inspection was done in unison with the Unannounced Renewal Inspection performed on this date as well. Standard #: VENDHOM-000-029-B-5 Description: Based on review and interview, lockdown procedures are currently not included in the Family Day Home (FDH) Emergency Preparedness & Response Plan (EP&RP). Evidence - 1. The Provider stated (during an interview conducted on the date of inspection - 05/25/2017) that the FDH currently does not have lockdown procedures in place. 2. The EP&RP also reflected the same; lockdown procedures have yet to be developed. Plan of Correction: Lockdown procedures shall be added to the FDH EP&RP. It shall then be a documented practice once every year.
