63.2 Liability Insurance Disclosure
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The provider and one assistant caregiver were caring for 9 children, totaling 23 points. The children were observed playing with toys and musical instruments, practicing letter recognition, singing songs, and interacting with each caregiver. The children were to be served spaghetti with meatballs, broccoli, and milk for lunch later today. This inspection was completed between approximately 10:00 am and 11:30 am. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A Description: Based on a review of emergency drills, it was determined that the provider has not conducted a fire evacuation drill each month. Evidence: The provider did not conduct a fire evacuation drill during the month of May, 2017. Plan of Correction: I will do two fire drills in June.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that two records were not complete. Evidence: 1. Child record #3 does not include a second emergency contact that is not a parent. 2. Child record #5 does not include the mother's place of employment. Plan of Correction: Both parents will be asked for the information.
