An exit interview was conducted with the provider to discuss the results of today's inspection. Consultation was given on updated legislation regarding background checks.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today, September 11, 2017 to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. The inspection was initiated at 2:30pm and concluded at approximately 4:30pm. In attendance were 4 children totaling 15 points being supervised by the provider. Children were observed interacting with the provider and playing with toys. Children books, toys, and equipment were inspected and found to be age appropriate and in operable condition. All rooms of the home were inspected with no hazards found.
The family day home had the required postings displayed on the bulletin board upon entering the porch. The first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and emergency supplies were inspected. Three children's records, provider records, and animal vaccinations were inspected with the required information found. The following was also inspected: evacuation log, shelter-in-place drills, emergency preparedness plan, parent agreements, and other pertinent information.
