Comments:
An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted in the Family Day Home on September 26, 2017. There were 10 children present and in care of the Provider and two assistants. Based on the ages of the children in care, the points totaled 27. As reported, 10 children are currently enrolled. Children were observed in the child care area as they participated in self-selected centers. The infants and toddlers were observed in the designated gated play space. The caregivers were engaged with the children. Age-appropriate toys, materials and equipment was available to the children. The children were served lunch during the inspection. Nap time was observed after lunch. A sample of 7 records was reviewed, record review included caregivers, household member and children's. Documentation of the practiced emergency drills was reviewed. The separate play room and outdoor play area was also inspected. A discussion was held with the Provider regarding documentation of completed annual training. The LI will consult with the LA and other licensing staff and will respond accordingly. Clarification was given regarding warming infant bottles, microwaves can not be used. The on site inspection was conducted from approximately 10:40 am to 2:30 pm.
