54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced mandated inspection was completed today from 4:00pm and ended at 5:00pm. At the end of the inspection there were 5 children in care with 1 staff. Children were observed participating in age appropriate activities, reading, washing hands, and snacking. The sample size was 5 children's records and 1 staff records that where reviewed. The violation cited was in the area of tuberculosis screening.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on record review and interview the provider failed to ensure that the a current tuberculosis screening form has been updated every two years. 1.The record for staff #1 does not contain documentation of a current tuberculosis screening. a. The last tuberculosis screening expired on 8/10/2017. 2. The Provider confirmed that the tuberculosis screening was not current. Plan of Correction: Provider will confirm that a current tuberculosis screening form is updated by October 4, 2017.
