Technical Assistance:
Reviewed all current and upcoming changes to background check procedures. All future information regarding background checks will only be communicated via email. The emergency preparedness plan shall be updated to reflect changes to the shelter-in-place location and emergency evacuation exits prior to opening for care once the provider moves back to her home. The license will not be processed for renewal until the provider supplies the Inspector with documentation showing that she has moved back into her home and the renovations are completed with the child care area in full operation.

Comments:
A full renewal inspection was conducted today. The provider and one assistant caregiver were caring for 6 children, totaling 17 points. Children's records, adult records, caregiver records, the physical plant, and emergency preparedness items were inspected today. The provider reported that there were no children's medications on site today. The Inspector also conducted a modification inspection today. The provider has been living in a temporary home location while her home has been under renovation. The provider is scheduled to move back to her home and be open for care on November 13, 2017. The child care area shall be set up and prepared for children to enter care prior to opening again on November 13. This inspection was completed between approximately 8:45 am and 10:30 am. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-920
Description: Based on observations, it was determined that the current menu is not posted. Evidence: The menu for the current one week period is not posted.

Plan of Correction: I will post the menu today.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A
Description: Based on a review of health records, it was determined that three TB Health Screenings have not been repeated within the past 2 years. Evidence: The TB Health Screenings for all three caregivers expired on 9/22/17.

Plan of Correction: We will all get repeat TB screenings done this week.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A
Description: Based on a review of training records, it was determined that the provider does not hold current First Aid and CPR certification. Evidence: The provider First Aid/CPR certification expired on 10/9/17.

Plan of Correction: During the inspection I left a message for my trainer to schedule a class ASAP.
