The model SDS form is online at VA DSS as well as a link to the Adam Walsh site to assist with out of state central registry forms. VDSS will be paying for initial child care fingerprint checks until 9/20/18. Please read and review all correspondences regarding the fingerprint roll out.
An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today from 1:15-2:15. Five children were present with two caregivers for fourteen points which is within ratios for supervision. Four children were sleeping during the inspection in cribs and the baby was playing on the floor with soft toys and being held by the caregivers. Lunch served today was macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, fruit and milk. Drills and written emergency plan are current. Reviewed newly hired assistant and enrolled child's record and both were complete. Space has two dedicated sleeping areas and a large play area as well as outside space for gross motor activities. Provider and the assistant are up to date for annual training and both have current first aid and CPR certification. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. If you have any questions regarding the inspection, please feel free to contact me. Thank you Ann Dramstad Licensing Inspector 703-314-0860 email@example.com
