Health and Safety inspection was conducted from12:45pm through 2:30pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 5 children in care and two resident children present with two staff. The vendor arrived after the onset of the inspection. Children present ranged in age from 16months to three years old. Children were observed during nap time. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-012-B Description: Based on record review and interview the vendor failed to ensure that within he first 90 days of employment or service all caregivers shall complete Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child Care Staff. Evidence: 1 - The record for staff 2 does not contain documentation of completing the required Pre-Service training. a. Staff 2 has a documented date of hire as 5/30/17. b. The staff was present providing care to children during the inspection. 2 - The vendor stated that the training had not yet been completed by staff 2. Plan of Correction: Not available online.
