A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/4/17 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced renewal inspection was completed on 12/4/17. There were six children present at arrival of the inspector with the provider and one assistant caregiver present. The point total was 14. A seventh child arrived at approximately 10:50 am which increased the point total to 18. Another child arrived at approximately 12:15 pm which increased the point total to 22. One newly enrolled child's record was reviewed and six others were reviewed for annual updates and immunization updates only. The provider's record, one household member's record, and two assistant caregiver's records were reviewed. The provider and all caregiver's records were reviewed to ensure 16 hours of training has been completed for 2017. The inspector arrived at the provider's home at 10:00 am and departed at 12:30 pm. The children were observed during free time inside, during lunch, and during nap. The provider had completed the required annual lock down drill for 2017 as of the date of the inspection. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.

Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K. Eligible child care facilities must be fully licensed, licensed exempt and a VDSS subsidy vendor, or a voluntary registered day home and a VDSS subsidy vendor. Only programs enrolled in Virginia Quality will display a rating. Virginia Quality contact information for your region is available at the following link Regional Contacts.
