Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included use of portable heater and shelter-in-place drills. To obtain new Sworn Disclosure forms, go to Providers will be informed through e-mail about upcoming fingerprinting sessions.

An unannounced renewal inspection took place today from 1:30 - 3 pm. There were two children in care with the provider for 4 points. The inspection was during naptime but interactions were observed. Description: Based on a review of records today, there were no shelter-in-place drills practiced this year. Evidence: Evacuation drills were documented but no shelter-in-place drills were practiced.

Plan of Correction: I will print the form and have the children practice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B
Description: Based on a review of children's records today, some information was not available. Evidence: There was no identification number for health insurance for Child # 1. There was no documentation of an annual review of information for Child # 1 (expired 11/17) and Child # 2 (expired 4/17). .

Plan of Correction: I will talk to the parents today.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A
Description: Based on observation today, a furnishing in the child care area was not maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: A full length mirror was not securely attached to the wall or furniture: it was propped between furniture.

Plan of Correction: Removed during the inspection.
