- Technical Assistance:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Monday, December 18, 2017 from approximately 11:00AM to 12:40PM to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. In attendance was one non-resident child. The child was being supervised by one caregiver during the inspection. There was a total of 2 points based on the child?s age. During the inspection, the licensing inspector observed the child and provider playing with toys, singing, reviewing colors eating lunch. The child care areas were filled with supplies and toys for the children. During the inspection, the licensing inspector reviewed the following: emergency supplies, emergency drill logs, required postings, menu, caregivers? training hours and daily attendance. The provider stated medications are not being administered at this time. Transportation is not provided. During the inspection one child?s record, one caregiver?s record and two household members? records were reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-B Description: Based on review of documentation, the provider did not ensure the emergency plan was reviewed and updated if needed at least on an annual basis. Evidence: During the inspection, the licensing inspector observed the emergency plan was last documented as being reviewed on 10/25/16. Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-A Description: Based on the review of one child's record, the record did not contain the required information. Evidence: During the inspection, the licensing inspector observed the record for Child #1 (enrollment date 12/08/17) contained one name, address and phone number of an emergency contact other than parents or guardian. Children's records are required to contain two emergency contacts. Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection.
