54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:00am-11:45am. At the time of inspection, 4 children (11 points) were directly supervised by the provider. The sample size consisted of 5 children records, 1 household member record, and 2 caregiver records. There were no medications on site today and the provider is MAT certified. Children were observed during snack time (bananas, strawberries, and apples), engaged in group play with toys, creating with play-dough, and listening to music. The provider and assistant are current in CPR, First Aid, and have completed the required annual trainings. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A Description: Based on observation, an area of the family day home was not maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: A hole in the drywall was observed in the hallway. The hole was approximately 2 inches in width and within reach of the children. Plan of Correction: Corrected at the time of inspection.
