Comments:
Today an unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the Provider. This visit took place in the morning between 10am-12:15 there were 6 children with the Provider and 1 assistant for a total of 16 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed having morning free outdoors, playing with blocks, dinosaurs, lunch and in transition for nap time. Lunch today consisted of chicken alfredo with broccoli fruit and milk. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and provider records, fire drill log, attendance record, and emergency procedures. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-750-B
Description: Based on observation of the physical plant, topical ointments and screens were found accessible to children. Evidence: In the playarea, a storage bin was found on top of the children's cubby with topical ointments accessible.

Plan of Correction: Provider stated that she will relocate to the ledge in the dining room where the kids are unable to reach.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-760-B
Description: Based on observation of the physical plant, the first aid kit was found accessible to children. Evidence: Upon arrival, the storage bin with first aid kit was found on the cubby in the play area accessible to children.

Plan of Correction: Provider stated that she will relocate to the dining room.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A
Description: Based on documentation review, the provider did not obtain updated tuberculosis (TB) tests or screenings for each household member every two years. Evidence: Caregiver #1 and #2's record did not include an updated Tb screening two years from the date of the last screening 5/15.

Plan of Correction: Provider stated that they will have the Tb updated on Saturday.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A
Description: Based on review of the caregiver records, the caregivers did not obtain the annual 16 hours of training. Evidence: Caregiver #1's record only had two hours of annual training. Caregiver #2's record did not include any annual training hours.

Plan of Correction: Provider stated that they are registered for training next week.
