Technical Assistance:
During the inspection, the licensing representative discussed with provider background checks set to expire [as soon as the day following 1/12/2018]. Renewal application will not be processed until caregiver/household member backgrounds are verified.

Comments:
The following inspection took place between the hours of 12:30pm through 1:30pm. Today, I met with the Provider on site at the Family Day Home (FDH). At the start of this unannounced monitoring inspection there were a total of 5 children (14 points) with 1 caregiver. A total of 5 children's files and 3 staff/household member's files were reviewed. The children were engaged in toy play and games. An infant was observed during bottled feeding. Positive guidance and nurturing interactions were observed between caregiver and children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Please contact me if you have any questions at Ivaco.Clarke@dss.virginia.gov or 571.835.5505.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-760-A-1
Description: Based on observation, the emergency kit did not contain the required supplies. Evidence: The first aid kit was missing 1 of 2 triangular bandages.

Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights.
