- Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included outdoor locking mechanism for gate, shelter in place requirements and new background check regulations.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:45 am - 12:30 pm. There were 7 children present with the provider and assistant for fifteen points. I observed children active, riding a choo-choo train in the playroom; working with puzzles; crafting a police car with the current transportation unit and eating lunch. Records were well-organized and a wide supply of activities and materials were available. If you have any questions, please contact me at email@example.com.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on a review of children's files today, some information was missing. Evidence: There was no policy number for health insurance for Child # 1 and Child #2. There was no address for an emergency contact for Child # 2. Plan of Correction: I will talk to the parents today.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-230-B Description: Based on a review of records today, there were no documents available for annual training for Assistant # 1. Evidence: Assistant # 1 reported that 20 hours of training was recently completed, but no certificates were available for review today. Plan of Correction: She will bring in the certificates.

In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K. Eligible child care facilities must be fully licensed, licensed exempt and a VDSS subsidy vendor, or a voluntary registered day home and a VDSS subsidy vendor.
