Technical Assistance:
An exit meeting was completed by the licensing inspector with the caregiver to review the outcome of today's inspection. The licensing inspector also notified the caregiver of fingerprinting updates.

Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from approximately 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards at the family day home. During this inspection, there were three children present totaling six points being supervised by the provider. The licensing inspector observed the children in care engaged in a picnic style lunch with their peers at the table and eating. The children's lunch today consisted of spaghetti O's, corn, cheese toast and milk. During this inspection, the licensing inspector completed observation of the children watching Little Einstein on television, lining up to complete bathroom breaks, reviewing books on the carpet, and transitioning into nap time in the designated areas. The designated areas for childcare were deemed appropriate and equipped with age appropriate equipment and materials to meet the children's ages and stages of development of the children in care at the family day home. During the inspection, the licensing inspector interacted with the caregiver and the children when appropriate. The licensing inspector observed the required postings to include license, prior inspection summary, and menu which were deemed in compliance. The first aid kit and emergency supplies, posted emergency contacts, fire and shelter-in-place drills were reviewed by the inspector. During this inspection, there were three children's records, and one caregiver's record reviewed. The violations from the previous inspection were checked for corrections. Medication is not being administered and transportation is not provided by the caregiver at this time.
Last fire drill: 12/06/17
Last shelter-in-place drills: 09/18/17 & 12/06/17
The violations from the previous inspection were reviewed for corrections. There were no violations cited during this inspection. If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector, Tiffany Harris, at (804)-662-9772.
