- Technical Assistance:
An exit interview was conducted with the provider to discuss the results of today's inspection. Consultation was given regarding annual training hours, transportation requirements, and updated background check regulations.
An announced initial inspection was conducted today, February 13, 2018 to determine the provider's compliance with family day home regulations for possible licensure. The inspection was initiated at 11:15am and concluded at approximately 1:20pm. In attendance were two children totaling four points being supervised by the provider and assistant. Children were observed resting on mats then later prepared for lunch. Today's lunch consisted of plant based burgers, mixed vegetables, broccoli, wheat bread, and milk. All rooms of the home were inspected with no hazards found. Children's books, toys, equipment, and furnishings were all inspected and appeared to be age appropriate in operable condition. The family day home had the required postings displayed on the wall upon entering the children's room. The first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and emergency supplies were inspected. One child's record and all provider records were inspected with the majority of the required information found. The following was also inspected: evacuation log, emergency preparedness plan, parent agreements, and other pertinent information. If you have any questions regarding today's inspection, contact the licensing inspector at (804) 662-9771.
