- Technical Assistance:
During the inspection, the licensing inspector discussed with provider requirements for the use of topical creams and ointments. Provider has received Eligibility letters from recent fingerprints obtained by OBI and is in compliance with the new background check regulations.
An unannounced mandated monitoring inspection was conducted today at the Family Day Home from 12:30pm-1:30pm. A total of 9 children (28 pts) were in the care of 3 caregivers. 2 children's records, 2 caregiver records, emergency drills, emergency plan and outdoor play equipment was reviewed today. Children were observed during toy play and storytime. Violations were found during this inspection as are noted on the inspection report. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-540-A Description: Based on observation, safety straps were not used on an occupied infant bouncer. Evidence: An infant [Child #1; 4 months old] was observed in a bouncer with safety straps unfastened. Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection; Provider immediately removed child from the bouncer.
