A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on March 1 2018 between 12:00pm and 2:00pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Children were observed finishing lunch, washing hands, being diapered, and napping. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: VENDHOM-000-012-C Description: Based on interview with the provider, not all caregivers have completed the Virginia-Pre-Service Training for child care. Evidence: The provider stated that the assistant has not begun the training. Plan of Correction: She will complete the training hours.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-029-A Description: The family day home does not have a written emergency preparedness plan that addresses all the required procedures. Evidence: The emergency plan does not have a lockdown procedure in place. Plan of Correction: I will have it completed tomorrow.
