Technical Assistance:
An exit meeting was completed by licensing inspector with the caregiver to review today's inspection findings.

The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from approximately 9:49 am to 11:00 am to determine the caregiver's compliance with licensing standards. Upon the licensing inspector's arrival the children were sitting at the tables in the designated childcare area. During this inspection, there were 7 children present in care totaling 15 points being supervised by one caregiver. The licensing inspector completed observation of the children in care completing various activities to include working on the letter L, completing a lemonade coloring activity, counting by 2's, numbers recognition, engaged in nursery rhymes with the caregiver, and completing bathroom breaks. The family day home's designated area for childcare was deemed appropriate and equipped with age appropriate toys and materials to meet the needs of the children. During this inspection, the kitchen, bathroom, and diapering station for the children were inspected. The children's lunch for today consisted of raviolis, green beans, pears, and milk. The licensing inspector observed the required postings to include license, most recent inspection summary, and menu which were deemed in compliance. The family day home's first aid kit and emergency supplies, attendance log, emergency contacts, and emergency drills were inspected. During this inspection, there were three children's records, and one caregiver's, and one caregiver's assistant's records were reviewed for compliance. Medication is not being administered and transportation is not provided by the provider at this time.
There were no violations cited during this inspection. The caregiver is strongly recommended to continue compliance of licensing standards. If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector, Tiffany Harris, at (804)-662-9772.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.

Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K. Eligible child care facilities must be fully licensed, licensed exempt and a VDSS subsidy vendor, or a voluntary registered day home and a VDSS subsidy vendor. Only programs enrolled in Virginia Quality will display a rating. Virginia Quality contact information for your region is available at the following link Regional Contacts.
