- Technical Assistance:
During the inspection, the licensing inspector discussed with provider updating medication administration policy, annual training requirements at upcoming renewal and children's records. Provider has completed fingerprinting backgrounds and is now in compliance with new background standards.
An unannounced inspection was conducted at the Family Day Home from 10:00am-11:45am. A total of 12 children were present with 2 caregivers. Children were observed engaged in a variety of group activities, handwashing and lunch [which consisted of spaghetti, applesauce and milk]. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials and supplies available to the children in care. A sample of 5 children's records and 2 caregiver records, emergency drills and other documents were reviewed. Violations are noted on the inspection notice. If you have any questions, please contact me at Ivaco.Clarke@dss.virginia.gov or 571-835-5505. Thank you for your cooperation.
