An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:30am-11:00am. At the time of inspection, 8 children (17 points) were directly supervised by the provider and one assistant. Children were observed coloring pictures, painting, dancing to music, and interacting with caregivers. Diapering and handwashing procedures were also observed. The sample size consisted of 5 children records and 2 caregiver records. Emergency preparedness documentation, required drill logs, emergency supplies, and first aid kit were inspected. There were no reported medications on site. There was an abundant supply of Montessori style materials and books for the children. Area of non-compliance is identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-170-A Description: Based on review of caregiver records, the provider did not have documentation of a tuberculosis (TB) test or screening for a caregiver at the time of hire. Evidence: The record for caregiver #2 (start date: March 13, 2018) did not have documentation of a tuberculosis screening. Plan of Correction: The assistant has completed the chest x-ray for the tuberculosis screening and the results were clear. The paperwork is being sent from the doctor's office.
