The inspector and provider discussed ensuring that outside areas are maintained.

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on April 16 2018 between 11:30am and 1:30pm. There were 11 children in the direct care of 3 staff members. Children were observed finishing their lunches, being diapered, washing hands, and napping. Children that were not napping participated in quiet activities. A review of staffing records, children's records, evacuation drills, emergency plan, and physical space was observed and inspected. If you have any questions regarding this inspection please contact me at 703-554-4995 or at

Description: Based on record review, 3 of 3 staff members did not have a current report of Tuberculosis (TB) screening every two years from the date of the first screening or more frequently as recommended by a physician. Evidence: Staff #1 last documentation of TB screening is dated 9/23/2015. Staff #2 last documentation of TB screening is dated 10/7/2015. Staff #3 last documentation of TB screening is dated 11/8/2015.

Plan of Correction: We will do it next week. We will schedule appointments.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280
Description: Based on direct observation, the family day home did not keep all cleaning agents away from food in areas inaccessible to children. Evidence: A window clean and a disinfectant spray were observed on a low bookshelf in the main day care space near the art supplies.

Plan of Correction: We already put them away during the inspection. We will focus more on keeping them out of reach of the kids.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.

Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K. Eligible child care facilities must be fully licensed, licensed exempt and a VDSS subsidy vendor, or a voluntary registered day home and a VDSS subsidy vendor. Only programs enrolled in Virginia Quality will display a rating. Virginia Quality contact information for your region is available at the following link Regional Contacts.
