An unannounced inspection has been conducted from 1055- 1155. There were 12 children (infants- 4 years) with 2 caregivers. The Provider and assistant have attended trainings and are attending First Aid/CPR training this weekend. The Provider is MAT certified but does not have anyone enrolled who are on medication. The children were doing puzzles and had finished preschool time. Children's records, training documents, menu, and special care provisions were checked. Hand washing was also observed. Please call with questions 703-479-4679
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A Description: Based on record review, the Provider did not conduct a monthly evacuation drill in March. Plan of Correction: I will conduct one this month and will ongoing.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on record review of children's files, the Provider does not have a complete record for Child #2. Evidence: 1. Child # 2's file only contains 1 of 2 required emergency contacts. Plan of Correction: I will ask her to fill it out. The siblings have the info but will still ask to have it included.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280 Description: Based on observation, cleaning items are accessible to children in two areas. Evidence: 1. Kitchen cabinet lock under sink did not work and contains cleaning spray. 2. There are 4 bottles of cleaning spray located on a shelf in the bathroom that children have access to. Plan of Correction: I had kitchen lock fixed but will fix again and will remove spray bottles and place in closet.
