A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on May 8 2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 11 children in the direct care of 2 staff members. Children were observed playing, being diapered, washing hands, and working on their journals. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: VENDHOM-000-012-A Description: Based on record review and interview, the family day home has not completed the Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child care staff. Evidence: The provider stated that she, nor her assistants, have taken the course. She stated that she thought she had taken it, but it was the wrong course. Plan of Correction: It will be done within the next month. I thought I took the training, but it was not the correct one.
