Discussion of the subsidy regulations and how they apply to the Family Day Home (FDH).
A Subsidy Health and Safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted at the Family Day Home (FDH) of Lucy Ayala's, located in Sterling, Virginia. This inspection was conducted on 05/10/2018, between the hours of 9:30 am through 12 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An Unannounced Monitoring Inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Standard #: VENDHOM-000-030-A-3 Description: Based on review, the Lockdown procedures were not practiced in the past year. Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (05/10/2018), a review of the drill log indicated that there has not been a lockdown drill conducted in the past year. 2. The Provider confirmed this finding on the date of inspection. Plan of Correction: A lockdown drill shall be practiced at least once a year (in addition to the 12 times or once a month fire drills, and the twice a year shelter-in-place drills).
