An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The provider was caring for 7 children, totaling 15 points. Children's records, adult background checks, children's nutrition, the physical plant, and emergency preparedness items were inspected today. The children were observed upon arrival. After settling in, the children were observed assembling puzzles, playing with toys, singing songs, and playfully interacting with the provider. The children were to be served bulgogi, rice, bananas, strawberries, and milk for lunch later today. This inspection was completed between approximately 9:15am and 10:25am. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-920 Description: Based on observations, it was determined that the posted menu does not include all required information. Evidence: The posted menu does not indicate the date for the current one week period. The posted menu was dated for the month of April. Plan of Correction: I will post the May menu, then remember to always post the correct menu at the beginning of each month.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that two records were not complete. Evidence: 1. Child record #1 does not include: the information for a second emergency contact person; documentation of the parent's annual review of the child's contact information. 2. Child record #5 does not include: the father's employment contact information; the information for a second emergency contact person. Plan of Correction: I will ask both parents for the missing information today.
