Background check requirments were reviewed.
The inspector conducted an unannounced mandated inspection from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30. There were 5 children in care for a total of 12 points with one provider. Infants and children were observed napping, playing with dolls, watching a movie, washing hands , and eating lunch. The provider reports no medications are administered as she is not MAT trained. The infant was observed being held while given a bottle and having a diaper change. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-350-E Description: Based on observation and measurement, hot water in the bathroom was above the required range. Evidence: 1. The inspector measured the temperature and it was 128 degrees. Plan of Correction: Provider will get the water temp. adjusted to the required range.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-500-C Description: The inspector observed outdoor play equipment that did not meet the standard. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed a rock under each swing. Plan of Correction: The provider will get the rocks up.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-500-D Description: Based on observation and measurement, the provider had equipment that did not meet the requirements. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed "S" hooks that were opened more than the thickness of a penny on the swings and teeter totter. Plan of Correction: The provider will have the "s" hooks replaced.
