A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 06/18/2018 from 11:50am to 1:58pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The children were napping upon the inspector?s arrival. Today, there were eight children, totaling 17 points, present with three caregivers. Interviews were held with the caregivers throughout the inspection. The provider does administer medication; however, they did not have any being given at this time. The provider does not provide transportation. The provider does have a pet. Five children?s records, one caregiver?s record and two caregiver/household member records were reviewed during the inspection. Last emergency drill: 05/14/2018 Last shelter-in-place drill: 05/22/2018 Last lockdown drill: 05/22/2018 A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. One violation was found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and is identified on the violation notice. Description: Based on a review of caregiver records at the facility, the facility did not ensure that one of three caregivers completed the Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child Care Staff. Evidence: There was no documentation of caregiver #3 (start date: 3/1/18) completing the pre-service training and caregiver #1 confirmed that the pre-service training had not been completed. Pre-service training is required within 90 days of beginning employment.

Plan of Correction: Caregiver #3 will no longer be employed as of 6/29/2018.
