Licensing inspector arrived at 12:30 pm and departed at 1:45pm to conduct a licensing inspection and a Subsidy Health and Safety inspection. At the time of the tour there was 6 children in care and 4 children that are not enrolled ( 24 points) with 2 staff . Children were observed napping, watching tv and freely playing. The sample size consisted of five children records and three staff records. Areas of non-compliance was reviewed with the director.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-012-B Description: Based on record review, the provider did not ensure within the first 90 days of employment or service all caregivers shall complete Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child Care Staff. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on June 19, 2018 , staff #2 did not complete Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child Care Staff with in 90 days . Plan of Correction: The provider will have staff #2 complete Virginia Pre- Service training.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-012-E Description: Based on interview and record review, it was determined that the vendor did not ensure that all staff providing care has current certification in CPR and First Aid. Evidence: During the inspection on June 19, 2018, staff #2 did not have a current CPR and First aid. Plan of Correction: Provider will have staff #2 complete CPR and First Aid in the next 30 days.
