- Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included record keeping and the location of the portable climbing structure.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:30 am - 12:45 pm. There were 11 children at the beginning of the inspection with the provider and two staff for 37 points. I observed children coming in from the playground, eating snack, at play with manipulative toys and dramatic role playing and beginning lunch. Records were well-organized. There was a large variety of age appropriate materials available for the children today. No children's medications were present. If you have any questions, please contact me at email@example.com
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-150-D-1 Description: Based on a review of staff records, one caregiver did not have current CPR/First Aid training as required. Evidence: The CPR/First Aid certification for Staff # 2 expired 4/18. Plan of Correction: She will take the class soon.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-230-A Description: Based on review of records today, not all caregiver's annual training was documented as required. Evidence: The provider explained that caregivers took classes but documentation was not available today. Plan of Correction: These will be put in the records.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-250-A Description: Based on observation today, there were some hanging items accessible to chlidren in the backyard. Evidence: There were some hanging strings from plants that were accessible to children in care. Plan of Correction: Removed during inspection.
