Technical Assistance:
Household members will need the finger print registry checks by end of September, 2018. The Provider's First Aid CPR certification expires July 21, 2018.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 835-945 AM. The Provider and assistant were present with 6 children for a total of 18 points. The Provider has been attending and completing her CDA and the assistant did obtain 16 hours of annual training. The assistant has First Aid/CPR certification and the Provider is MAT certified. No one is enrolled that has medication and children's files are complete with physical information and immunizations. The Provider has received zoning approval for 12 children and has sufficient and variety of equipment for additional children. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Description: Based on observation, the Provider has not kept household medication in a locked place that prevents access by children. Evidence: 1. There was 6 types of nonprescription medication on a shelf in the kitchen. The Provider stated it was the house hold members medication.

Plan of Correction: I will have the person take it upstairs and lock it up.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280
Description: Based on observation, the Provider has not stored cleaning agents in areas inaccessible to children. Evidence: 1. Children were in the kitchen eating breakfast and the Inspector found cleaning items in the unlocked kitchen cabinet. 2. Once children went downstairs, the Inspector observed cleaning agents on the floor in the children's bathroom.

Plan of Correction: I will remove the cleaning items from the bathroom and will make sure cabinet in the kitchen is locked.
