A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 7/11/18 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on 7/11/18. There were nine children present with the provider and an assistant supervising. The point total was 21. Five newly enrolled children's records were reviewed and 11 children's records were reviewed to ensure annual updates were completed. The provider's record, one household member's record, and three assistant caregiver's records were reviewed for updates (one new hire caregiver's entire record). No medications were being administered. The inspector arrived at the provider's home at 12:00 pm and departed at 3:00 pm. The children were observed preparing for nap and during nap. Arrival and departure of children were also observed. There was discussion with the provider about the following: changes made to the child care area to include new additions for one level child care and a separate preschool classroom, background check changes, upcoming trainings, new forms on the web site for subsidy providers. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
