Technical Assistance:
An exit interview was conducted with the provider to discuss the results of today's inspection. Consultation was given regarding updated fingerprint background check regulations.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, July 27, 2018 to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. In attendance were 6 children totaling 14 points being supervised by the provider and assistant. Children were observed interacting with the providers, playing with toys, and eating snack. Children's books, toys, and equipment were inspected and found to be age appropriate and in operable condition. All rooms of the home used by children were inspected with no hazards found. The family day home had the required postings displayed upon entering the home. The first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and emergency supplies were inspected. Three children's records and one provider record were inspected with the majority of the required information found. The following was also inspected: fire drill log, emergency preparedness plan, parent agreements, and other pertinent information. See attached notice for violations found on this day. If you have any questions regarding today's inspection, contact the licensing inspector at (804) 662-9771.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.

Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K. Eligible child care facilities must be fully licensed, licensed exempt and a VDSS subsidy vendor, or a voluntary registered day home and a VDSS subsidy vendor. Only programs enrolled in Virginia Quality will display a rating. Virginia Quality contact information for your region is available at the following link Regional Contacts.
