An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on August 10, 2018. There were six children present, between the ages of one year old to four years old, with the provider and an assistant totaling 15 points. The children were observed transitioning from outdoor play, doing a number recognition activity, watching children's programming and playing freely. The following items were reviewed as a part of the inspection: supervision, administration, nutrition, health and safety, indoor and outdoor areas, required documentation, and emergency supplies, procedures and required postings. Six children's records were reviewed. Also reviewed were the provider's record, one household member's record and an assistant's record. The family day home will not be administering medication at this time. The family day home will not provide transportation for the children in care.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-A Description: Based on record review, in two of six children's records reviewed, the provider did not ensure that an up-to-date record would be maintained for each enrolled child. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on August 10, 2018, the following records had not been reviewed and updated in over a year: Child #1-last review 6/14/17 Child #4-last review 6/29/17 Plan of Correction: The provider will have the parents to review and update the record today at pick-up.
