Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The provider and two assistant caregivers were caring for 5 children, totaling 14 points. Children's records, background checks, caregiver training, the physical plant, emergency preparedness, and children's nutrition were inspected today. This inspection was completed in the middle of the day. The children were observed eating lunch and taking their afternoon nap. The children were served chicken noodle ramen soup with vegetables, applesauce, and milk for lunch today. This inspection was completed between approximately 11:45am and 12:50pm. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-C
Description: Based on a review of emergency drill documentation, it was determined that the provider has not documented each month's fire evacuation drill. Evidence: The provider did not document the May, June, and July fire drills.

Plan of Correction: I will remember to document each fire drill.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A
Description: Based on a review of administrative documents, it was determined that the provider has not completed the attendance as required. Evidence: The provider did not complete a written record of children's attendance for today.

Plan of Correction: I will remember to document the attendance every morning.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-340-C
Description: Based on observations, it was determined that the children's bathroom is not equipped as required. Evidence: The children's bathroom is not supplied with paper towels.

Plan of Correction: We will replace the paper towels.
