Annual staff training will be reviewed at the next licensing inspection.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted this date. A total of 11 children(29pts) with Provider and 2 assistants were present today. When the inspector arrived children were at the table tracing letters, playing with toys on the area carpet and engaging with staff. A nice transition was observed from morning play time to lunch. Observation of hand washing procedures was made. Walk thru of the programming area to include the larger play area, bathroom and crib room was made. Ample toys and equipment that was determined age appropriate for the children in care. Lunch was served which consisted of chicken, corn and fresh sliced watermelon. Staff observed encouraging children to eat their veggies and fruits. A total of 4 children's records and all staff and household records was reviewed. Thank you for your cooperation today. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on review of children's records, three records were incomplete. Evidence: Medical insurance policy numbers were missing for Child #1, 3, and 4 Plan of Correction: I will obtain the policy numbers from the parents today.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-90-A Description: Based on review of children's records, immunizations were not obtained prior to enrollment for 2 children. Evidence: Child #3 began care on 1/3/18, immunizations on file were dated 1/22/18. Child #4 began care on 7/9/18, immunizations on file were dated 7/27/18. Plan of Correction: Parents will be required to provide documentation of immunizations before their child can began care.
