- Technical Assistance:
Discussed the MAT training module for administering medications rectally and the Fingerprint requirements with the Provider.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated today. The physical plant, 3 caregiver/household member files, 5 children's files, caregiver training, child nutrition, children's activities, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected between 12:40 and 1:40pm. There were 10 children, totaling 24 points, under the supervision of 2 caregivers. Today the children completed their workbooks (coloring, learning letters, counting based on their development levels), enjoyed free play, worked with arts and crafts, took naps, and listened to music. The interactions between the children and caregivers were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. Today, the children were served chicken nuggets, steamed veggies, french fries, fruit and milk for lunch. The Provider is certified in MAT (medication administration training). A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.
The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
