An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on September 25 2018 between 11:00am and 12:15pm. There were 12 children in the direct care of a provider and an assistant. Children were observed having circle time, discussing the calendar, singing, watching a science program about force, and eating lunch. The home was clean, organized, and offers plenty of materials for the children to utilize. Areas of non-compliance are listed on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on record review, 2 of 3 children's records reviewed did not have all of the required information Evidence: Child #1 is missing a 2nd complete emergency contact. Child #3 is missing the address for the first listed emergency contact and a complete 2nd emergency contact. Plan of Correction: I will have a conversation at pick up for the parents to e-mail me the information by the end of the week.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-340-C Description: Based on observation, the family day home did not have paper towels in the children's restroom. Evidence: The bottom floor restroom did not have paper towels to dry hands. Plan of Correction: Corrected at the time of inspection.
