- Technical Assistance:
Discussed requirement for 16 hours of annual training. In addition, Provider has contacted zoning and sent in documents to increase capacity.
An unannounced renewal study was conducted today between 11:30am and 1:25pm. 10 children (29 pts) were present with 2 caregivers. 1 child left during the inspection. The physical space, caregiver records, 2 children's records, attendance, evacuation drills and required posted documents were reviewed. The space was well organized and contained an abundance of age appropriate materials. Children had just finished lunch, were observed playing outside and going down for rest time. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. For questions regarding this inspection, please contact email@example.com.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-120-B Description: Based on record review, the assistant's file was missing required documentation. Evidence: The file was missing two references, documentation of orientation and emergency contact information. Plan of Correction: My assistant is new and I will ask her to fill out the required forms right away.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-40-A Description: Based on observation and interviews, the Provider did not ensure that the total number of children receiving care at any one time does not exceed the maximum licensed capacity of the home. Evidence: The Provider is licensed for 9 children but 10 children were present. Plan of Correction: A part time child came earlier than they are supposed to and the other part time child hasn't left yet. I will make sure to tell parents the exact time their child can come if they are part time, so they aren't here at the same time.
