54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted this date. A total of 8 children (22pts) with Provider and 3 assistants were on site. When the inspector arrived, the children were transitioning to lunch time from a group activity. Some children placed in high chairs and some older children at tables. Lunch today was pasta and fruit cocktail. Observation of hand washing of both staff and children was made. Walk thru of the crib area and also the programming area where cots were set up for nap time. The children transitioned smoothly to their cots and infants were placed in cribs. The space was decorated with seasonal artwork completed by the children such as tissue paper acorns, owls and corn. All topical reviewed and were found labeled with completed authorizations. CPR/First Aid and MAT training all verified. A total of 5 children's records all all staff records (4) reviewed today. This inspection began at 11:25am and ended at 1pm. Evidence: Staff #2's record did not contain age verification, 2 references Plan of Correction: Provider will obtain copy of age verification and obtain two references on this staff.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-230-A Description: Based on staff record review, one record did not contain education documentation, Evidence: Staff #2's record did not maintain documentation of caregiver's education, documentation of emergency training and completed orientation. Plan of Correction: Staff #2 will provide all required documentation and provider will document completed training for this staff.
