A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was completed on November 1, 2018 from approximately 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. to review supplemental health and safety requirements. One child, five years old, was in care, for a total of one point. The child was observed interacting with the provider during free play and pick up times. Children?s toys, learning materials, equipment, bathroom, outside play area, van used to transport children and the home?s first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Three children?s records, one caregiver record, four household members? records, the emergency response and preparedness plan, fire drill, shelter in place and lock down logs, daily attendance and required postings were reviewed. Medication is not administered and there were no injury reports to review. The provider was available for interview, inspection and exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
