54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:30am-10:45am. There were 8 children (22 points) directly supervised by the provider and substitute provider. The home, 2 staff records, 5 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today in accordance with the provider's medication policy. Children were observed playing freely, coloring, being fed breakfast and being held while bottle fed. Interactions between caregivers and children were observed to be positive and constructive in nature. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on record review, 1 of 5 children's records reviewed were incomplete. Evidence: Child 1's record did not contain a health insurance policy number. Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent to complete the missing information.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on record review, the provider did not obtain a current Report of Tuberculosis Screening form every two years from the date of the first screening for all required persons. Evidence: Adult 2's most recent Tuberculosis screening was conducted on 4/13/2018. Plan of Correction: A screening has been scheduled for 11/22/2018.
