Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:30am-12:05pm. There were 10 children (27 points) directly supervised by the provider and 2 staff. The home, 3 staff records, 6 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today in accordance with the provider's policy. Children were observed playing freely and being helped using the restroom. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Description: Based on observation, not all topical ointments are labeled with the child's name. Evidence: One of two topical ointments were observed without a label indicating the owner.

Evidence: One sleeping mat was observed with a ripped seam in the waterproof covering which exposed the foam interior. The rip prohibits the proper cleaning and sanitation of the mat when soiled.

Description: Based on observation, children under two had access to stairs. Evidence: The gate blocking access to stairs cannot be latched and can be easily opened by a toddler.
