A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/17/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 2pm-5:30pm. There were 10 children (25 points) directly supervised by 2 caregivers. A sample of 5 children?s records, 2 caregiver's records and 2 household members records were reviewed. The children were observed napping, eating snack and engaged with caregivers. One new caregiver has been hired since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the provider. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-230-B Description: Based on record review and interview with provider, all caregivers did not complete the Virginia Preservice Training within the first 90 days of employment. Evidence: Caregiver A had not completed the Virginia Preservice Training within the first 90 days of employment. The provider stated that Caregiver A was hired 09/2018. Plan of Correction: She will complete it this week with my help.
