Discussed with the provider the new subsidy requirements that became effective on October 17, 2018 and the 60 day implementation period, between 10/17/2018-12/14/2018.
- Comments:

A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/18/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:30am-1:00pm. There were 12 children (29 points) directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 2 staff records, 5 children?s records, 3 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely, doing worksheets, practicing numbers and shapes, singing, washing hands and eating lunch. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-400-A Description: Based on review of the emergency plan, the family day home's emergency response plan did not include procedures for the continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. Evidence: The family day home's emergency plan did not address procedures for the continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. Plan of Correction: We will revise the emergency plan to include procedures for the continuity of operations.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-B Description: Based on review of emergency drills, emergency drills were incomplete, lockdown drills were not conducted at least once a year. Evidence: There was no record of lockdown drills. Plan of Correction: We will conduc a lockdown drill this month.
