A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was completed on December 5, 2018 from approximately 12:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Seven children were initially in care and two more arrived during the inspection. The children's ages ranged from infant to four years old, for a total of twenty-one points. The children were observed interacting with the provider and a substitute caregiver/assistant, during arrival, toileting, hand washing, feeding, nap time and arising from nap time. Children?s toys, learning materials, equipment, inside space, bathroom and the home?s first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Five children?s records, three caregiver records, two household members? records, emergency preparedness plan, fire drill, shelter in place and lock down drill logs, daily attendance, injury reports and required postings were reviewed. Transportation is not provided and medication is not administered. The provider and an assistant were available for interview, inspection and exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the provider. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
