A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 01/15/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspection began at 10:00am and ended at 11:30am. There were 8 children in care for a total of 18 points with two caregivers. The children were observed playing with blocks, watching cartoons and during lunch. Three caregiver?s records and five children?s records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-A-3 Description: Based on document reviews and interview, the vendor failed to conduct one annual lock down drill. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed the documentation of practiced drills. There was no lock down drill documented for 2018. 2. The inspector asked the provider if they had practiced an annual lock down drill and the provider said they had not. Plan of Correction: The family day home will practice and document an annual lock down drill.
