22VAC40-80 THE LICENSE.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The provider and two assistant caregivers were caring for 8 enrolled children and one resident child, totaling 21 points. Children's records, caregiver training, administrative records, emergency preparedness items, the physical plant, and children's nutrition were inspected today. This inspection took place in the middle of the day. All children were observed eating lunch and taking their afternoon nap. The children were served fish sticks, corn, cucumbers, cooked carrots, and milk for lunch today. This inspection was completed between approximately 12:20pm and 1:15pm. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-920 Description: Based on a review of posted documents, it was determined that the posted menu was not updated as required. Evidence: The provider did not update today's menu to indicate the substituted foods that were served for lunch. Plan of Correction: The menu will be updated in advance when necessary.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A Description: Based on a review of administrative documents, it was determined that the provider has not accurately completed the daily attendance record. Evidence: Upon arrival, there were 8 children in care. However, the documented attendance indicated a total of only 6 children in care. Plan of Correction: The attendance was updated immediately during the inspection.
