The inspector arrived at 2:00 pm and concluded the inspection at 4:00 pm. Upon the inspector's arrival three family day home children and two of the providers own children were in care. Children were still napping at the time of the inspectors arrival. Later children had bathroom breaks, washed their hands and played with play-dough and cookie cutters while waiting for the school age children to arrive. Three additional school age children arrived giving the provider a total of eight children with a value of fourteen points. Children were overed washing their hands before sitting down to snack. Today's snack consisted of banana, cup of oranges, crackers and milk. The provider assisted with open the fruit cups and interacted with the children in a positive manner. The provider played children's music for the children to sing along with. All areas used for child care were inspected along with a walk through of the entire home. The family day home has age and stage appropriate toys and materials in operable condition for children in care. The family day home had the daily schedule, menu, License, attendance sheet, attendance sheet and emergency numbers posted. A smoke detectors and fire extinguisher were observed. Children do not use the rear deck. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found One caregiver record and five children's records were reviewed. Medication is not being administered. The provider has current CPR and first aid training. The last documented emergency evacuation drill was held on 01/18/2019.
